Everything was a blur. Aubrey’s life was always like that, everything moved in a blur, everything was a blur. He didn’t know where he was running, and he couldn’t even see. He let his feline senses take over as he pushed through the woods, jumping over logs, maneuvering through unseen territory; it was such a difficult task, and the fact that it was now raining and thundering didn’t help him. Though, on a certain level, Aubrey felt he deserved this. He felt he deserved every last bit of pain that coursed through his body as his skin was torn and raked against branches and rocks. His eyes were blurry with tears that mixed in with water, and he didn’t know what was happening. He only remembers falling. He remembers his body hitting against the ground, calling out for…for someone…and then it goes to blackened visions. Blurs once more. He remembers moaning softly from pain. He remembers having his claws dig deep into the earth out of frustration, but then…then there was a voice.
Aubrey knew he was hearing things now. It had to be the weather, because simply…simply it couldn’t have been anything else. He knew the boy hated him now. There were no other logical explanations as to what would happen…but for some reason…he felt warm. He felt such familiar warmth singe the inside of his body, causing his face to heat up lightly. Someone was touching his head. Someone was touching the area behind his ear, and an involuntary purr emitted from him. He knew it couldn’t have been Tyler. Maybe if he was lucky…maybe it was Kura. Maybe she had come back to kill him…but no…no…this touch was too gentle, it was too kind; it was not Kura. Could it have been…Tyler? Was he actually…? Why was he here? What was he doing? Caring for Aubrey, still? It didn’t make sense to the shadow NEKO at all. Why would the boy still even want to talk to him. Why did he even still want to see him? But despite Aubrey’s own insecurities and worries, he knew he heard a voice. Such a gentle voice, like a bell ringing. It was a voice that filled him with hope, and caused him to pry his eyes open involuntarily. Above him was Tyler. His mouth moved open to talk, but it hung there for a moment. He didn’t know what to say. He didn’t know what to do; and so he did the only thing he knew how to.
“I-I’m…s-sorry.” He apologized in a soft voice. It was a tired voice, and it was one that let pure exhaustion shine through. Aubrey let his hand move to his back and gently feel around a little. Nothing was broken; he just had a bruise forming; wonderful, something else to add to his never-ending list of injuries. He sighed small and shaky, before letting his dull eyes stroll up to meet with Tyler’s. His mouth opened once more to talk, but nothing came out. Nothing ever came out. That was when Aubrey finally noticed it. His tail was moving again. It gently moved against the boy’s side, moving up his chest to gently poke at his neck and nose. He didn’t want him to go, and this was his way of pleading. This was his way of asking him to stay. Aubrey didn’t know what to say at this point, and so he did the only thing that made sense to him. He let his hand move to the back of his head slowly, moving Tyler’s hand just below his furry ear, and his eyes drooped shut half way. A petite, yet somehow strong purr emitted from the back of his throat. He let his hand move away from the boy’s again, before his eyes found Tyler’s.
His mouth opened, and there was nothing.
The boy had left him speechless once again.

It seemed that wherever the NEKO boy went, trouble soon followed. Just by running off into the woods, he had subjected them to getting lost in the middle of the depths of a scary woodland area that Tyler hadn't even seen before. (Since when were there woods behind the cemetary? He'd been through almost everywhere in town...) Tyler glanced around quickly not having an idea where they were, or which way he had come from. It was too dark. Rain was pouring now; droplets pounding into his back and soaking him to the bone. Sure he didn't mind the rain. But it was getting to be a pretty bad storm, and he still didn't know how to tend to Aubrey.
When he heard an apology escape the boy's lips, Tyler groaned and quickly responded. "Don't you dare apologize. Just shut your mouth." That was his inner emotions talking. Aubrey needed to save his energy and be extremely careful. "You shouldn't have run off like that, and you know it! You could have gotten hurt even worse than you are now!" Tyler wasn't yelling, but he raised his voice- not in anger, though. He sounded desperate. He was concerned for his NEKO companion and that was obvious through his words. "Don't ever run off from me again!"
The familiar tail was investigating his face again. (Was that his way of saying hello? Apologizing? Becoming more familiar with the softness of his skin?) Hoping that nothing was broken, Tyler moved his hands beneath Aubrey and sat on the soaked muddy ground, pulling him into his lap and supporting him against his chest. There was nothing that they could do except wait out the storm, endure the cold rain beating down on them and listen to the rumbling thunder. Tyler liked thunderstorms, but not being in them, lost in the woods.
But he did his best to protect Aubrey, taking off his hoodie and putting it around the frail boy, pulling the hood up so he would have more protection against the rain, and more warmth. He scooted back so that his back was against the trunk of a large tree, where they had the most protection from the sleeting rain. "You'll be okay now, just close your eyes and rest." Tyler stroked the boy's tail softly and leaned down, pressing his soft lips to the boy's forehead. "It'll all look better in the morning."

Aubrey could tell Tyler was upset, and every bone in his body ached because of it. He knew he had angered the boy, and he felt…well, terrible would be an understatement for it. He didn’t like seeing the boy upset, and he never liked knowing he caused it. But this is what Aubrey deserved. This is what he should get every day. The boy should hate him, despise him; abhor his existence. Aubrey thought his thoughts were confirmed when the boy seemed to raise his voice just a little, and the small NEKO cringed. He felt more tears welling and dripping over the sides of his eyes; but he didn’t know what to do at this point. He didn’t know if he should continue to apologize, even though the boy told him not to. He had to argue with him just a little, and so ever so gently he spoke up in a soft tone.
“I-I’m just b-bruised…I-I’m okay.” He nodded lightly before cringing again. Tyler was mad, it was official. But if he was mad…why did he bring Aubrey onto his lap. Why was he being so gentle…? W-why did he…kiss him? He nodded when the boy told him not to run from him, because he never would again; not if Tyler didn’t want him to. He would do whatever the boy wanted. He would do whatever made him happy, and if Aubrey just sitting there with him made him happy…well…then he would never move. He felt bad when suddenly a hoodie was placed around him, and the guilt began to dig and drill at his heart. He felt more tears drip down his face as he listened to the boy. He was still being kind…he was still being nice. Why? What had Aubrey done to deserve…niceness? The answer was nothing. He didn’t deserve any of this…and he knew it. He knew he deserved nothing more than insults and some more pain. But he felt like he needed to do something. He needed to help the boy somehow. And that was when he decided it; he would use the last bit of his energy to make sure the boy was comfortable.
Very slowly, and very cautiously, the boy moved onto his knees while in Tyler’s lap. He let his tail gently move from his grasp, slipping underneath his shirt to gently pull it away from his body. He put one hand by the boy’s stomach, not touching him, and the other by his cheek. He smiled small as his hands gave off a soft purple glow, one that was delicate; not threatening in the least. Soon, the water began to move off of the boy’s body as Gravity was removed from him, and soon the water moved out of his clothing as well. He moved his hand away from his stomach and the water followed, landing in a small puddle on the right of them both. He kept his hand by the boy’s hair as the water was gently extracted from that too, and placed aside.
“S-sorry…thank you…for everything.” He gave a timid smile before letting his hand settle on the tree trunk behind the boy, blushing as he has to press his body against Tyler’s for a short moment, mouth by his ear. The tree branches above their head began to drizzle rain to the side of them, before completely stopping. The rain seemed to bounce off of it and to the side…almost like an anti-gravity bubble. Aubrey gently sunk back down in his lap, pulling his tail out from under the boy’s shirt as he wrapped his arms around Tyler’s torso, nuzzling his head into the nape of his neck and letting his hot breath gently settle against the boy’s skin. He let his eyes close as he kept the boy close.
Even if they were in the woods, the boy couldn’t have been happier.
Sitting in Tyler’s arms.

Taking care of a NEKO was a big responsibility. He didn't think of Aubrey as some sort of animal, he thought of him as a misjudged, fragile person. That's what all NEKO were, really. If he could take back time and take away every scientist that began that damned organization, slaughter them all into hundreds of pieces and save humanity from becoming how it was today- he would do it in a heartbeat. If he could save Aubrey from all of this pain and trouble, he certainly would. He knew for a fact that the only reason Aubrey was so fragile, so apologetic, so scared... was because that's the way he was raised. He was raised to get hurt and be afraid of everyone around him. He was afraid of getting affection from anyone because he feared he might hurt them. Tyler felt horrible for the boy. He wished he could just make the pain go away.
As they settled down against the tree and Aubrey sat up, Tyler looked into the NEKO's bright green eyes for a moment. His eyes were hiding so much emotion, and they were glistening with tears. Pity swelled up inside of him again, and he felt bad for even raising his voice at him.
He felt the material of his dark tee being pulled away from his damp skin by Aubrey's tail. It tickled a bit, but Tyler didn't move, just let the NEKO do what he was intending to do (whatever that was). It became clear to him when he saw Aubrey's purple glowing hand beside his cheek. He wouldn't hurt him, he knew that. But he would use his dark mysterious powers to evaporate the water that was drenching him. Within a few seconds he was completely dry, and there was no more water falling onto them either.
Aubrey really was powerful. How could such a frail boy harness so much energy inside of him? It was a mystery that Tyler would never understand. When Aubrey began to cuddle closer to him, he took a deep breath and put his arms around him, holding the oversized hoodie around his body tighter. "Thank you." he said quietly, pulling his knees up so Aubrey was squeezed against his body.
And they sat there for the rest of the night, holding each other close and resting their eyes.
*~*~*~*
Tyler had fallen asleep sometime in the night holding Aubrey against him. Although he had slid down to the ground, laying in the damp cool grass on his back while the weightless NEKO lied ontop of him. The teenager had one hand limply on Aubrey's back, as if holding him in place. It was peaceful, and the storm had gone away during the night, leaving them with warm sunlight and chirping birds.

Aubrey was amazed how comfortable it was in Tyler’s arms. It was so much better than a bed, so much better than a crappy couch in an ally. He never wanted to leave; he never wanted to go anywhere but here. He wanted to just sit in the boy’s arms forever and ever and never let go. He nuzzled his neck again, keeping his arms close around the boy and hugging him harder. He just wanted to feel comfortable. He just wanted to be happy, and when Tyler brought his knees up…Aubrey let a small sigh escape his mouth and hit into his neck. He felt himself being lulled into sleep by some unheard and unseen lullaby. It was so hard to resist…he could feel his eyelids getting heavier…he could feel his body getting more and more tired as the seconds pass by…and then, then the darkness washed over him again, and he was completely lost within the boys grasp.
It felt like an eternity before the boy woke up. His body was so…stiff, but his head and mind were so relaxed. He let his mouth open in a large but silent yawn, and when he closed it he felt his lips hit something soft and creamy. His right eye peeked open just a tad to look, and his face flooded with heat when he saw. It was Tyler’s neck. He immediately inched back slightly, but…but staying there was so hard. He felt like they were so far apart…and Aubrey didn’t like it. He let his body curl more to fit with Tyler’s as if a puzzle piece and his face moved into his neck, nuzzling and purring lightly. It wasn’t really an intentional purr, but despite it, the noise was out, and the boy’s face was red again. He snuggled into Tyler’s grip just a little more, letting his tail move around the boy’s torso and play at the hem of his shirt. Ever so gently it snuck its way underneath the fabric and inched up his body, gently peeking out by his neck to tickle his chin and poke by his lips. Aubrey let his head pick up a little and look at the boy who still seemed to have his eyes closed.
Ever so gently, moving as if with the slightest touch the boy would disappear; Aubrey let his fingers gently trail over his cheek and dance around his lips. His index finger gently peeked out and with a feather like touch, traced around his upper and bottom lip slowly. Aubrey felt his face dipping in closer and closer until his lips were mere centimeters from Tyler’s, but he froze in his spot. Unsure if it was…acceptable…the boy began to move away millimeter at a time.
He didn’t want to ruin the moment.
But he just wanted to feel the boy even more. OOC: this is short and terrible and I apologize :C

Tyler was having pleasant dreams. He wasn't sure what he was dreaming because he was too in depth inside the dream, but he knew it was a good dream because he wasn't sweating or squirming or rolling around. Maybe it was the warmth radiating down on him that gave him such easy thoughts. Or maybe it was the heat of the NEKO that was laying on his chest. The teenage boy was still sound asleep, but he was vaguely aware of his surroundings. It was nice and warm. Aubrey was sleeping quietly ontop of him. Birds were tweeting and flying between the leaves. The gravitational feild around them must have faded considering he could feel the droplets of dew dripping down from the trees above.
It was quiet and Tyler still had his hand lightly on the NEKO's back, drifting in and out of a deep sleep. He wasn't ready to wake up yet, he wanted to lay there forever in the grass and let the warmth from the sun warm him. Unfortunately, good things never last long. He was awoken from his sleep from a light tugging at his t-shirt. Still being half asleep, he refused to open his eyes. No, he'd let Aubrey poke and tug at him with his furry tail. It snaked up his side, touching lightly over his abs and up to his collarbone. Tyler kept a straight face. He was more awake now, but the NEKO didn't know that.
When the tail got up to his neck, he could feel Aubrey leaning down from the weight that shifted on his chest. And then there was a soft feeling at his cheek. Not like the tail that was lingering around his neck, but like a small hand, tracing over the curves of his lips. Tyler didn't mind. He let the boy explore with his hands, breathing softly to continue "sleeping". But his heart was beating faster. Would Aubrey kiss him again? Did he want him to kiss him again?
When Aubrey was just a hair away, and when he could almost feel their lips touching, Tyler opened his eyes and put both hands on the NEKO's waist, holding him closer and pushed his lips the rest of the distance, kissing him softly.
'What the hell is wrong with me?'

What was going on? What had happened? Aubrey was about as confused as could be, and the fact that Tyler wasn’t moving and just laid there kissing him was even more…astounding. Aubrey didn’t know what to do. He didn’t know what the right next move was. Aubrey let his hands move up to cupping the boy’s face delicately within his palms as he let his lips part ever so gently. He let out a soft purring sound from the back of his throat, allowing his tail to fully move over the boy’s body and to his back, pulling him closer if possible. After a short moment, Aubrey had to disconnect the kiss, letting his lips hover centimeters over the boy’s as he breathed in and out slowly. He murmured a soft thank you in French to the boy, before translating to English, placing his lips onto his for just a short second afterwards. He kissed gently down to his neck before nuzzling him and just holding him, letting his lips dance over the soft skin of his neck, his feline teeth gently peeking out to stroll over the skin with ease. After a moment, the boy realized they would have to go…but he was reluctant about it.
“We should go…whenever you want to…” There was still a blush plastered well on his cheeks, and he didn’t believe he would ever have the grace to remove it…but he didn’t really mind. He wanted the boy to be happy…and that was the most important part of his life right now. He wanted Tyler to be safe, happy…and in this case, dry. The boy let his hand move up to the boy’s hair and forehead, gently wiping off the dew from the trees before traveling back down to around his torso. Aubrey could have laid here forever. He could have sat in the boy’s grasp for as long as he wanted…or for as long as Tyler wanted.
But Aubrey got distracted quite easily, and now was probably one of those times. His right hand gently moved up into the boy’s hair, entwining his fingers through it as his mouth moved over to the left side of Tyler’s neck. He gently began to nibble and bite softly on the skin, letting his tongue roll over it afterwards to ease the small pain. He continued the loving process for a few short moments, before he could see that Tyler had a small red hickey on his neck; and then he smiled and kissed it gently. He looked up to the boy after a moment, grinning wide and still blushing, before speaking one last time and waiting for Tyler to do as he pleased.
“Okay, now we can go.”

It seemed like as soon as they made that connection, Aubrey leapt into it. It was just a kiss. Just a kiss. Tyler had kissed a ton of people. He even kissed a boy once on his fourteenth birthday on a dare. But it was nothing like this. Tyler got a warm fuzzy feeling inside when he and Aubrey kissed. It was even warmer than the sun that was currently beating down on them. It was also a sense of security. Aubrey knew that Tyler was trying to protect him, and Tyler knew that Aubrey would do the same for him.
Still, even then, in the perfection of the moment, he wondered why the NEKO was in the cemetary in the first place. Why had he been so angry and frustrated, sending a vase shattering to pieces and lighting flowers aflame? Who's grave was he standing over? Tyler didn't have time to wonder these things. He was here, now, under a tree with this smaller boy ontop of him, kissing him, caressing his face, and trailing his lips down his neck.
Tyler got chills as he felt the boy's tiny sharp teeth prick at his neck. It was sharp, but the NEKO soothed the skin with soft kisses and licks. It was so strange to him, but he couldn't deny that he liked it, closing his eyes and holding the boy closer, letting him nibble and suck on his neck. Was it wrong? Was Tyler really gay, just because he had this boy ontop of him? Was it wrong that he wanted to lay there forever in that peaceful moment?
He was pretty sure it was innocent.
The teenager smiled when he felt Aubrey's lips abandon his neck. "I guess we should get out of here while we can." he said as he sat up, helping the boy stand as he stood himself. They were still surrounded by dense woods, but it was nowhere as scary or threatening as the night before.

Aubrey loved being so close to Tyler. He loved all the touches. He loved all the affection. He couldn’t get enough of any of it. He smiled at the red mark on the boy’s neck, before kissing and licking at it gently. He really liked Tyler…he liked him too much for his own good. He felt the boy gently leaning up and getting up to a standing position, bringing Aubrey with him. The small NEKO blushed and nodded before looking around. He knew how to get out of here, he didn’t want Tyler to worry.
“Don’t worry, I know how to get out of here.” Ever so gently, Aubrey let his hand catch Tyler’s as he pushed his fingers through his. He cuddled into the boy’s side before pulling him away, towards the way he came. Aubrey knew where he was going, simply because he had made it so he could never get lose. On every tree he passed there was a claw mark embedded within the wood. He followed them, one by one, walking with Tyler through the small forest. He looked down at their hands for a moment, before looking to Tyler.
“D-do you…m-mind?” He asked in a timid voice, blush increasing on his face. He really hoped Tyler didn’t mind, because he didn’t want to let go. He didn’t want to let his hand leave Tyler’s for even a second; he didn’t think he would be able to function without it. It was…odd, how much Aubrey needed Tyler. It made him feel safe and secure when the boy was around. It made him feel happy, and that was something Aubrey missed. He had never gotten the chance to sustain his happiness before. It always seemed to be ripped away from him, and it made the boy weak. It made him long for something to give him reason in the world, and that was what Tyler was. Tyler was his reason to keep going, to push on; to live. Aubrey never had a reason to live before…until Tyler. There was never anything in his life that he wanted to sustain so much…until this boy came around and changed everything. There was nothing like having a reason to keep on going and keep on living. It gave you hope. It gave you direction, and Aubrey didn’t know where he would be without this direction; without this reasoning.
He figured he wouldn’t be in the forest. He figured he would not be by the edge of the forest, gripping onto Tyler as they left the woods. But the boy stopped for a moment and took in a breath. He turned to Tyler, so he was facing the boy, eyes moving to meet his. Aubrey let his mouth open to say something, but he realized he didn’t know what he wanted to say. He always had this problem. He had so many things that he wanted to tell and share with Tyler, and none of them seemed to ever come out. For a moment he sat there with his jaw hanging, before blushing and having to regain himself.
“S-sorry…the sentence didn’t form fully in my m-mind…” He sighed before taking Tyler’s hand and bringing it up, looking at his small fingers that braided through Tyler’s so gingerly. He looked back to the boy, finally forming the words he wanted to say.
“Tell me…if I’m doing something…w-wrong. You make me happy…and…I don’t want to lose that, or you…so just if you are unhappy…or want something different…tell me, and I’ll try my best to give it to you.” Aubrey knew what he meant. If Tyler wanted something different. If he wanted a girl. If he wanted a human. Aubrey would give it to him. But for now, he was happy, and he didn’t want to lose it. He moved onto his tippy-toes to get eye level with the boy, and placed his lips on top of Tyler’s in a delicate, loving fashion.
Aubrey had never felt such a wonderful feeling before in his life.

Tyler trusted Aubrey's sense of direction, which was a good thing considering he had no idea where they were. He really didn't realize that there was another woodland area behind the cemetary. It probably lead out of the town border and into some sketchy town that no one went to. The australian boy had explored the nearby cities, but he had never headed off that direction before. Maybe one day he would.
But for now, he was trapped in a dense forest with his only hope being a five six NEKO. The boy's hand wrapped around his, intertwining their fingers securely. Did he mind? Tyler wasn't sure. He still wasn't sure that he was okay with all of this. He had gone his entire life believing that he was one hundred percent straight. Not to mention Heather... Heather. That was a name that he would never forget, no matter how hard he tried. What would the young NEKO girl think if she was still around? He frowned slightly, imagining her long blonde hair and her little pale ears perking up. She would probably say something innocent and sweet, like: "Oh, he's a nice boy. There's nothing wrong with holding hands with a nice boy." But what about kissing a nice boy? Was there anything wrong with that?
And thats what Aubrey was asking now. Was he alright with it? Did he want this? Was he unhappy? Tyler's head started to spin. He suddenly realized he had a bad headache. There was just too much going through his mind to understand the intensity of the situation. If he allowed himself to continue to flirt with the boy- did that mean he was gay?
"I..." Tyler sighed. "I don't know, Aubrey." He couldn't let himself fall for someone. A boy. A NEKO. He swore he'd never love anyone but Heather for the rest of his life. Slowly, he slid his hand away from the boy's. "Just give me some space, okay?" It was ironic that he was saying that right after Aubrey had marked up his neck with his tiny little teeth, but he couldn't help it. Being turned on and kissing someone was completely different than changing one's entire life to be with them. And Tyler wasn't ready for that. Not yet.
"Can you find the way out of here? It's hot, and I have a headache." That was his attempt to change the conversation, and more importantly, to get out of the woods.
