Why should you get this job: Because I have always been fascinated with the idea of a member of a species leading the rest to slaughter, or some sort of unhappy existence. Everything from the Holocaust, to Judas Cows, I've researched them all. I also believe that my overall lack of conscience, and my self-loathing would play into such a conflicted character quite well.

Cade had been living like a dog, crashing on the couches of friend after friend for months. Summer was hard for him. He was stuck miles and miles from home, and knew that if he went back to Vegas, he wasn't going to be able to return to Waverly. Thus he'd had to go from place to place to place. He couldn't sleep the night before school, or the night before that. He really never actually slept unless he was sober for a few days. Needless to say, he looked worn out. It also didn't help that he'd done a line or two a half hour before showing up at the school, and then chased it with a bottle of beer. He had to make a good impression, and he sincerely believed that the only conceivable way that such an impression could be made was if he was high. He was probably right, too.
Cade's thoughts were racing a mile a minute. That was always fun. He walked to the school with his ipod loudly blazing into his ears. It was going to be hard to get in the school spirit after living such a free lifestyle over the summer, but at least he would learn some new skills. He could already break into just about any lock system, if he could just figure out how to bypass security systems to the best of his abilities, he'd probably be able to be a great thief already. That meant that he could stop working with the black hand, and start working by himself. That was the dream. Knowing Cadence though, he was bound to figure out a way to screw over each and every member of the group before he left to do his own operations. He wanted all of the cash and such that they seemed to obtain so easily, but the last thing he wanted was to split it. He had to face it, to survive you needed a lot of money. He needed a place to stay, he needed a way to get food, and he needed drugs above all else. And the pay that he got from working in this gang meant that he could only meet two of his three needs, which was hell for him.
Reaching the school, he began looking around for a place to sit, or people to talk to, or something. It really always seemed that he was the only real partier. Even the wilder kids weren't into drugs as much as Cadence was into drugs. He needed to get more people hooked, and that started with making friends. That was easy as long as Cade wasn't able to think clearly, which he certainly couldn't right now. He made his way to a blond girl who seemed to be bored and antisocial, smiling at her coolly. He was told that he had the devil's smile, seductive and dangerous. "Girl, you look like you could use some cheering up. I'm Cadence," he said smoothly. Hopefully she'd be more friendly than she looked at the moment, because Cade would absolutely kill for the company.
